Zippers and Spikes

If you live the Southern California like me then you understand that the weather here is funny! Meaning it's not your typical weather, some days its hot and other days its cold. When it's  cold out side I take advantage and throw on a sweater dress. This unstructured sweater dress you can find at ZARA. I really digging the zipper detailing on the arm and side panel it makes the dress have more edge. As for my wallet it's actually a mini cross-body bag and I just tucked the straps in side. (similar one HERE) from NORDSTROM by Rebecca Minkoff. 

If you dolls have been following my blog you'll know that I'm obsessed with ankle booties, so these are no different! This fall I've been loving these kind of wedged booties with a pointy toe. I recently purchased these bad boys from Nordstrom they're from the Jeffrey Campbell vintage line. If you're shopping don't be scared to try them on :) 

Hats on at The RACES

Breeder's Cup 2013 was in full swing starting November 1st through the 2nd. Every year the women that attend the horse races always turn heads with their elegant hat designs. This day was no different! I wore a hat designed by Christine A. Moore the Breeder's Cup official milliner for 2013. This unique design will be sure to turn heads.

As for my outfit I wanted to go with something a little different then your typical summer dress.  I  went with this long sleeve houndstooth blouse from Lulus and added a black scarf tie to make it more appropriate for the races. I paired this top with a faux leather skirt also from Lulus for a modern chic look.

Black on Black on Red!

I'm not going to lie! I was kinda inspired by the fab Kanye West. Now a lot of us know him as the amazing rapper he is, but most importantly he is also a grate designer and a fabulous dresser. I know these photos don't do him justice, but I'm really digg'n his leather pants and red high tops.

Since I was inspired by these two outfits I wanted to re-create this look. On the left photo Kanye is wearing all black, so I went for a casual black tee from Nordstrom with leather pants that you can find HERE from Legz Jeans. The picture on the right Kanye is wearing black pants with red shoes. I thought by pairing my red Zara sandal heels that you can find HERE would look so appropriate. To top off this look I added a coat with leather sleeves from Choies for a more sophisticated look. Who wore it better?

Off The Shoulder

Ever since I can remember I've always had a thing for off the shoulder EVERYTHING! This crop sweater from 2020AVE was no exception.  I love to pair soft and comfy items with more structured pieces like this faux leather skirt.   By pairing the two pieces together really brings out the qualities each piece has.
