My journey to Prada Marfa

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 I made the long drive to Marfa, Texas a very small town out in the middle of no mans land. Where they have the Prada installation and let me tell you, you have to be super dedicated to drive for seven long hours from San Antonio and seven hours back home, so a total of 14 hours. I figured since I was already in Texas lets make a whole day of it! Driving down the freeway seemed like an eternity also because we had no idea if it was still there or not. As we were approaching the installation I was so nerves, I guess because it took us so long to get there. This has become a landmark out in Marfa, Texas. This small town has a population of less than 2,000 people . Prada Marfa was established on October 1, 2005 the artists names were Elmgreen and Dragset. The town Marfa has become the fastest growing art community; due to the fact, that the landscape and the people help artist create new ideas.

Of course I wanted to take some photos for you dolls just incase you never get the chance to go. I also wanted to get some really awesome shots of the installation by its self to hang in my house. If you were wondering about the  merchandise in the installation it's all from fall 2005. FIY you can't go inside, but if you ever get the chance to visit and you have a passion for fashion you should def check it out.

Since I drove so far I wanted to make sure I took lots of pictures I mean a lot lol. Of course I had to wear my Prada inspired sunglasses for this occasion with my Once Youth  tee. I don't always were muscle tees because they tend to look kinda boyish. To turn that boyish tee around I paired it with a fitted skirt and tucked it in, to give me shape. I hope I was able to inspire you to go get what you want even if it takes 14 long hours lol. (Lots more photos from Prada Marfa coming soon!)
