The Journey of a Facemaker

I recently teamed up with The Face and Popsugar Select to interview some of their modeltesants about preparation during Fashion Week and their experience on the show. Twelve modeltesants from around the world are mentored by the biggest names in fashion and to be the face of luxury hair care brand, Frederi Fekkai. The show stars Naomi Campbell Executive Producer and Supermodel Coach, Nigel Barker host of the show, Anne V and Lydia Hearst as Supermodel Coaches. Season two of The Face premieres on Wednesday, March 5th at 10/9 on Oxygen.

New York Fashion Week is a crazy and hectic time for many designers, models, editors, and fashionistas-preparing for shows, planning your outfits and attending the most fabulous parties. It all seems like fun, but with fun comes hard work and dedication from everyone involved.

As a Facemaker I have to know what trends are coming off the runway and how I can implement them into everyday fashion. My goal is to share with you dolls what I've learned in the fashion and beauty industry.

With every trip comes preparation, so this is no different! As a blogger, Fashion Week can be daunting; making sure your outfits are on point, arriving on time to the next show and walking in 5" heels can all be over whelming. Planning my Fashion Week outfits is fun, but because the crazy weather New York is experiencing it has been a little stressful. Since it is freezing I will be wearing lots of over sized sweater and muted tones, just like The Face modeltestant Felisa Wiley  said, "You can't go wrong with black on black".

Knowing I'm going to be on a trip for several days sleep is key even when you're in "the city that never sleeps" you need to get plenty of sleep before hand. Having a well rested mind will make you have a very productive day. I also think eating healthy and having the proper nutrition is key. Dieting plays a huge role because when you feel your best, you look your best!

Even with all the preparation before the actual runway show, attending all the fabulous parties it really can be over whelming. How can we handle such a pressured environment?
