Central Park Snow
Hey dolls I know I'm a little late on my New York Fashion Week outfits, but I have so many photos I took. A few bloggers and I were dying to take pictures in Central Park with the beautiful snow, so that we did! Yes it was freezing and again layering was essential. For the sake of time (check down below for outfit details). Photos by: Laura Lily |

Channeling My Inner 70's Chic #NYFWDAY2
Happy Monday dolls!!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Obviously I'm back from New York Fashion Week, so I wanted to share my outfits with you. Although Fashion Week is a crazy and hectic time for many people In The Industry such as: designers, models and fashionista's, it's also really fun and rewarding. Attending shows is fun, but getting to connect with people in the same field is even more amazing. My second day of shows I wanted to channel my inner 70's chic, so I went with white flare belle bottom pants (similar ones here) from Blanknyc. Now, I know belle bottom pants are not everyone's favorite, but I assure you these are fab! To continue my 70's vibe I went with a flare wide brim hat in a burnt orange color to match my clutch. |
Since it was cold in NYC coats were definitely a must (similar one here) with my favorite watch from La Mer Collection from their spring 2014 line. I love the extra long soft bare/mocha and cloud grey/white multi-mixed layer leather strap. It went great with this look! How do you channel your inner 70's? |

Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day dolls!!! I just wanted to take the time to tell you no matter what if you have a valentine or not someone out there does LOVE you, and that person is ME! I know today might bring happy memories to some and others not so much, but if you don't have a Valentine today don't worry! We can be each others Valentine. As many of you know from my latest video (HERE) I do have a date tonight. Like I said, no need to worry if you don't you can always spend Valentine's Day with your girl friends, eat ice cream and watch chick flicks. Who knows what tonight might bring "us" (that means YOU, yes YOU) but know I will always be here I LOVE YOU!!! |

The Journey of a Facemaker
I recently teamed up with The Face and Popsugar Select to interview some of their modeltesants about preparation during Fashion Week and their experience on the show. Twelve modeltesants from around the world are mentored by the biggest names in fashion and to be the face of luxury hair care brand, Frederi Fekkai. The show stars Naomi Campbell Executive Producer and Supermodel Coach, Nigel Barker host of the show, Anne V and Lydia Hearst as Supermodel Coaches. Season two of The Face premieres on Wednesday, March 5th at 10/9 on Oxygen.
New York Fashion Week is a crazy and hectic time for many designers, models, editors, and fashionistas-preparing for shows, planning your outfits and attending the most fabulous parties. It all seems like fun, but with fun comes hard work and dedication from everyone involved.
As a Facemaker I have to know what trends are coming off the runway and how I can implement them into everyday fashion. My goal is to share with you dolls what I've learned in the fashion and beauty industry.
With every trip comes preparation, so this is no different! As a blogger, Fashion Week can be daunting; making sure your outfits are on point, arriving on time to the next show and walking in 5" heels can all be over whelming. Planning my Fashion Week outfits is fun, but because the crazy weather New York is experiencing it has been a little stressful. Since it is freezing I will be wearing lots of over sized sweater and muted tones, just like The Face modeltestant Felisa Wiley said, "You can't go wrong with black on black".
Knowing I'm going to be on a trip for several days sleep is key even when you're in "the city that never sleeps" you need to get plenty of sleep before hand. Having a well rested mind will make you have a very productive day. I also think eating healthy and having the proper nutrition is key. Dieting plays a huge role because when you feel your best, you look your best!
Even with all the preparation before the actual runway show, attending all the fabulous parties it really can be over whelming. How can we handle such a pressured environment?
