New York Fashion Week Day 1

Ever since I was a little girl I always dreamed of attending a huge Fashion Show with lights, cameras and models. I finally got to fulfill my dream by attending this years New York Fashion Week for Spring 2014. I never thought in a zillion years I would have the opportunity to attend this fabulous event. Even with all the excitement of the first day of Fashion Week I still made it my goal to film a "Get Ready With Me" video for my lovely viewers aka (you dolls). I know growing up we could only imagine attending this formal event, but I thought I would document everything I did on this trip to show you dolls anything is possible if you set your mind to it...My Story To Be Continued....Since I was filming most of Day 1 I missed my first show which was Nicholas K, but I was still able to get my hands on their post show press release and images (shown down below). As for my outfit I wanted to keep things pretty simple, but very city chic. This outfit got the most attention out of all five of my outfits.

My faux leather skirt was the focal point besides my shoes. You can find my Faux Leather Skater Skirt  Here and HereOf course no outfit is complete without a bag this Rebecca Minkoff mini was my essential for Fashion Week I never left my hotel without it. Even though it looks small I was able to fit my life in this bag, you can find it HereMost importantly my shoes caught every photographers eye. They have to be one of my most favorite pairs of Giuseppe Zanotti heels. They're so versatile and very eye catching (no longer available). Look out for more post of my story....to be continued!!!

Travel Essentials

I've been traveling a lot lately for work and pleasure, so I thought I would show you a few of my most important "Travel Essentials". 1) For the obvious reason I carrie oil absorbing sheets on the daily especially when I travel. 2) My Canon Rebel T-3i is a must to capture blog post/outfits. 3) I like to have my passport with me even if I don't go out of the country, just in case I lose my i.d. for whatever reason. I need identification! 4) As for my laptop I like to have it with me on the plane at all times because I don't waste anytime, so I like to edit my videos while we're in flight. 5) Last but not least since I have a camera, laptop and my phone I have to make sure they're all charged at all times. Whether I'm in flight or waiting at the airport all these are essential to traveling for any blogger/youtuber. What are your traveling essentials?

My New Affordable Favorites

Happy Labor Day Dolls!!! I wanted to take the time and show you a few of my favorite pieces I just added to my closet. I will be taking these items with me to New York Fashion Week 2013, so I wanted to share these favorites with you. Fall has always been known for hats, scarves, and lots of layers to keep warm. This fall season I wanted to find a hat I can wear all the time, and since I love black & gold this hat from Target that you can find Here and Here matched what I was looking for. The black & gold chain makes this hat elegant and very Chanel inspired. Pair this with a fitted blazer and your outfit will scream chic!

I also wanted to pick up some booties to walk around the city with, so when I found these bad boys from Charlotte Russe I admittedly thought of the Chloe booties. These Chloe inspired studded triple buckle booties you can find Here and Here are so comfortable and will make any outfit stand out. What are some of your favorite pieces for fall?

All In The Details...Texas Style

Happy Hump Day!!! Most of you loves already know I was in Texas for a wedding and some fun! I'm back in LA now and getting ready for New York Fashion Week, it's been crazy! Before I get into all that, I wanted to share my last Texas outfit post with ya'll. This beautiful crocheted dress was perfection for the occasion. The detail on this dress by Zara was made for a petite figure like mine. I paired it with some modern cow girl Target boots that you can find Here to keep things neutral. I thought, since I was in Texas it's only appropriate to carrie a brown leather cross body bag from Charlotte Russe that you can find Here. It's one of my favorite bags because of its laser cut-out detailing is perfection. This silhouette is beautiful for any country occasion.

These photo were taking in the beautiful country side of Salt Lick and not photo shopped :)

My journey to Prada Marfa

Tuesday, August 20, 2013 I made the long drive to Marfa, Texas a very small town out in the middle of no mans land. Where they have the Prada installation and let me tell you, you have to be super dedicated to drive for seven long hours from San Antonio and seven hours back home, so a total of 14 hours. I figured since I was already in Texas lets make a whole day of it! Driving down the freeway seemed like an eternity also because we had no idea if it was still there or not. As we were approaching the installation I was so nerves, I guess because it took us so long to get there. This has become a landmark out in Marfa, Texas. This small town has a population of less than 2,000 people . Prada Marfa was established on October 1, 2005 the artists names were Elmgreen and Dragset. The town Marfa has become the fastest growing art community; due to the fact, that the landscape and the people help artist create new ideas.

Of course I wanted to take some photos for you dolls just incase you never get the chance to go. I also wanted to get some really awesome shots of the installation by its self to hang in my house. If you were wondering about the  merchandise in the installation it's all from fall 2005. FIY you can't go inside, but if you ever get the chance to visit and you have a passion for fashion you should def check it out.

Since I drove so far I wanted to make sure I took lots of pictures I mean a lot lol. Of course I had to wear my Prada inspired sunglasses for this occasion with my Once Youth  tee. I don't always were muscle tees because they tend to look kinda boyish. To turn that boyish tee around I paired it with a fitted skirt and tucked it in, to give me shape. I hope I was able to inspire you to go get what you want even if it takes 14 long hours lol. (Lots more photos from Prada Marfa coming soon!)

Texas Chic and Faux-Leather

Howdy ya'll!!! I hope everyone is having a faboulus week so far? As for myself I'm still in the big ol' state of Texas (San Antonio to be exact).  On my drive from Houston to San Antonio I had to make a stop at Palmetto State Park to capture it's beautiful scenery. To my surprise as I was leaving the park I came across a dear and for a split second we both locked eyes and he/she ran into the wildness. I don't think I've ever seen anything so beautiful! When choosing my outfit for the day I wanted something that represent some of Texas and of corse my own style. This beautiful white tube dress you can find Here at Karmaloop.com I completely fell in love with the back detailing of this dress for earrings I paired my BCBGeneration ear cuffs that you can find Here

This adorable Charlotte Russe faux leather cross body bag was perfect for that Texas fill with it's laser cut outs and Texas swag. Since I don't own my own cow boy hat the next best thing is this chic faux-leather felted hat. Faux leather is a form of fake leather it's also cheaper than real leather. These felted hats are extremely popular for fall/winter. Do you own one?
